PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
The guest by Kzeng Jiang is a stunning piece of art that encapsulates the essence of Chinese tradition and contemporary culture. This unique piece of porcelain art depicts the guest, a messenger travelling through time, with three big eyes on his face, representing his ability to see the past, present and future.
Kzeng has reinterpreted Chinese facial painting and flower painting from the Song dynasty in his own personal style, which is evident in the intricate details of his work. The blue tones on the white porcelain ensure a sense of visual harmony and balance, while the touches of golden luster convey the sense of prestige associated with ancient Chinese porcelain. Kzeng Jiang is the first Chinese artist to join the creative universe of the guest, and his works have captured the contemporary culture of the east and transformed big brands into cult iconography through vibrant and radical illustration.
Based in Shanghai, Kzeng's attention to detail and expertise in porcelain art is evident in every stroke, making the guest by Kzeng Jiang a must-have for any collector of fine art.
